Evening Look Final Images- Unretouched

Below are the images from my final Evening shoot. I tried two different lips- one nude and one a dark dramatic red.

Here are the images with the nude lip. Although I am happy with the shots, the lip does not look bold enough for an evening look, with the softer eye makeup, especially on camera. Had I gone for a more dramatic eye look, it may have worked but I wanted to keep the eyes soft and smokey, to move away from the standard black smokey eye that is common in evening looks. Instead, I chose to use dark golds and browns, to portray the luxurious side of D&G. I lined the upper lash line with black but smudged it quite a bit to soften it into the lash line to create a bit of drama but mainly definition, so the gold was still prominent.

The hair was again soft, parted in the middle, as seen on the Dolce and Gabbana SS15 runway, and curled into a loose chignon for the evening look. Again, I wanted to keep it very soft and feminine to reflect the elements Dolce and Gabbana love to celebrate about femininity, but to still keep that luxury element to it. A chignon is a classic hairstyle, but keeping it loose adds a modern element to it, thus relaying the D&G motto of modern femininity.

These are the images of the red lip. I definitely prefer these, as it helps the eyes stand out much better than the nude. It adds that dramatic element suitable for an evening look, while still remaining classy and modern.
